Having just compiled a serious response to a loan request pertaining to a statue we have, we then began suggesting spurious reasons. The statue you have requested as a loan for your exhibition, is sadly unavailable for your use because:
 The quirk of fate which means the information desk in the office has back to back phone calls and phone messages - presumably because it's everyone else's lunch break - meaning there's a sandwich staring, forlornly, across the desk for two hours. Boss: A couple of us are going to look at the X museum of X tomorrow, for some ideas and inspiration. Do you know of anything else worth visiting in the area? I go to the museum's website, to check the exact location. Me: Is it open tomorrow? It says here it's only open on weekends and school holidays. Boss:... I need to make some calls... |
