There's a visitor somewhere in here with one damp shoe.
Echoing gently across the room, between displays and cabinets, is the constant sad noise of "squick", timed to alternate steps. If you're walking around the museum with a cleaning cloth in each hand, at some point you have to engage in faux Morris Dancing. Look, I don't make the rules, I merely observe them.  The sheer amount of handprints, finger prints, forehead prints and just oily bodily contact on the museum display cabinets... Have some people actually set the coming-out-of-lockdown goal of "Touch every feckin public surface I can find"?
 Of course yes, we ask people to wear a mask, we want them to where a mask (unless they are exempt) but repeatedly touching your face and mask, while otherwise breathing into the room? It's probably more hygenic for you to just call it quits and not darned wear one.
It's unusual times, whatever your role, front of house, back of house, working at home, working on site, working with customers. Whatever your thoughts on the measures which should be in place, the way the country is being led, the way people are behaving, we are all balancing complex and deep feelings.
